Voter Registration, Early and Absentee Voting

Voter Registration:
U.S. citizens who will be 18 on or before February 5th may register to vote during regular registration up until January 8 to be eligible to vote in the Primary Election. Those who have moved and will have lived at their new location for 30 days before the election should also register at their new addresss. Citizens may register at their local town, city, or villages halls or township halls. For more info visit www.voterinfonet.com and click on the Vote! tab.
Early Voting Information:
Registered voters may vote before Election Day from:
Monday, January 14 -- Thursday, January 31
Voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the week, and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. You must bring a photo I.D. with you such as a current driver's license, state-issued I.D. card or another government-issued I.D. with a photograph.

Absentee Voting:
Applications for absentee voting are will be available for download from the Cook County Clerk's website mentioned above on December 20. You may also get a paper application from selected locations. If you would like one mailed to you, please call our office at 847.998.1002 clearly state you name and address where you want the appplication mailed.
The first day applications will be accepted is December 27, 2007. Voted ballots must have postmark of February 4th or earlier to be considered. |
